Helen B. Carson

Helen B. Carson, 76, of Rush Hill, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, January 22, 2006, at Mexico Manor in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Carson was born in Mexico on August 2, 1929, a daughter of John and Stella (Anscomb) Claywell. On October 22, 1946, in Mexico, she married Russell D. Carson. Mr. Carson preceded her in death on November 24, 2003.

Survivors include four sons, Jerry Dean Carson, Rush Hill, Daniel Louis Carson and companion Barbara Hycz, Mexico, Jeremiah Mattiahs Carson, Rush Hill, and Larry Gene Carson, Thompson; two daughters, Phyllis Jean Harre, Moberly, and Helen Elaine Rench, Evans, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, Russell Rocky Carson; two sisters and a brother.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
