Helen A. Salcido, 77, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 in Mexico.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Father Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Brendan Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m.

Helen was born on July 31, 1947 in Chicago Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Cecilia (Dower) Crainich.  She was married to Mariha Mejia and Arthur Salcido who preceded her in death.

Helen was a devoted member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and had a strong faith.  She was also known for supporting the military and veterans. Over the course of more than 40 years, Helen dedicated her career to the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she worked hard to provide active servicemen with the needed supplies. Her work was driven by a deep sense of duty and a desire to honor those who had sacrificed so much for their country. Helen's faith and her love for her fellow man were intertwined. Helen was known for her kindness, generosity, and her unwavering belief in the importance of giving back to those who had given so much for their country. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
