Herbert D. Martin, II

Herbert Dail Martin, II, 58, of Mexico, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at his home in Mexico.

Mr. Martin was born July 3, 1951, in Mexico, a son of Herbert and Mildred (Rivers) Martin. On Oct. 18, 1969, in Mexico, he married Donna Jane Weimer who preceded him in death on July 17, 1992.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Martin, Mexico; two sons, Herbert Dail Martin, III and wife Donna, St. Charles, and Quinten Everett Martin, Mexico; two brothers, James Martin and wife Anna Lee, Mexico, and Ray Martin, Mexico; one sister, Joyce Burns and husband John, Centralia; and one granddaughter Nichole Martin.

He was preceded in death by his father.

To those who knew Dail , he was a proud father, hands on grandfather, and committed member of the Mexico community. He enjoyed living on a small piece of land outside town where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising animals, and marveling over God s creation. Over the years he has been involved in many local churches.

Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 8 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
