Isabelle E. Valentine Winn, 100, died Sunday October 16, 2016, at Putnam General Hospital in Eatonton, Ga. She was formerly of Mexico and had resided in Milledgeville, Ga. for the past two and a half years with her daughter and son-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Ron Routledge officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pickering Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Isabelle was born on Dec. 19, 1915, in Michigan, the daughter of Thomas and Elsie (Lund) Conarton. She had been married to Lloyd Valentine and later to Charles K. "Jack" Winn. Both husbands preceded her in death.

Isabelle was a very active member of her church and community. She was a member of First Christian Church in Mexico where she was Elder Emeritus and had served on the church board and was a member of the CWF; she was one of the first "Pink Ladies" at Audrain Hospital and she went on to serve for many years as a member of the AMC Auxiliary; she had also served as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. She was very active in the Republican Party. And she was a member of PEO and the King's Daughters Whatsoever Circle. She also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of several card clubs.

Survivors include one daughter Joan "Joanie" (Tommy) Marshall of Milledgeville, Ga.; two sons, Lloyd "Larry" Valentine, Jr. and wife GlynEllen of Benton, Kentucky., and Richard "Dick" Valentine and wife Lorna of Edgemont, Arkansas; one niece Judy Langly of Florida; one nephew Bob Lindsey of California; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen Wilcox, and Mary Stumph; and one brother, Bill Wright.

The family suggests memorials be given to First Christian Church in Mexico. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
