Jack W. Jones

Jack W. Jones, 69, of Mexico, died July 11, 2013, at his home in Mexico.

A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Pickering Funeral Home.

Jack was born May 8, 1944 in Hannibal, the son of William Clifton and Hazel Belle (Johnson) Jones.

He had formerly been married to Elaine Schambach.

He was a member of the Mexico Moose Lodge and the Mexico Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Kirksville and Lincoln County Moose Lodges. He was to have soon received his Pilgrim Degree from the Loyal Order of Moose. He was very active in the Moose Lodge and held many offices in the local, regional and state Lodges.

He was also known for being a collector of farm toys, especially of John Deere toys.

He is survived by one son, Chris Jones and his wife Marla, Columbia; three grandchildren, Abbey, Carter, and Quinn; two brothers, Richard C. Jones and wife Marjory, Mexico, and John L. Jones and wife Barbara, Neosho, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
