James T. Hinson, Sr., 76, of Mexico, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at his home.

Gravesides services will be at 2 p.m. Friday February 2, 2018, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo. There will be a visitation from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday February 3, 2018 at the Brick City Buffet in Mexico.

James was born on May 23, 1941, in Stoutsville, Mo., the son of Wilson and Marie Hinson.

James served in the US Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. He worked construction for various companies and retired in 1999. He had also worked as an apartment manager and handyman.

He is survived by two sons, James T. Hinson Jr., of Seattle, WA, and Jason Hinson of Mexico; one daughter, Denise Hinson Helm and Chris Webb, of Frankford, Mo.; one brother, Charles W. Hinson and wife Dale, of New York, NY; 12 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; one niece and three nephews; and his companion Marjorie Maly, of Mexico.

James was preceded in death by one daughter Angela Moore, a grandson, Jeremy Maddox, a sister, Jane Urlich, and one great grandchild, Cameron Hinson.
