Janet Elaine Weaver

Janet Elaine Weaver, 60, of Mexico, died at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Audrain Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Art Menard officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Janet was born on Feb. 11, 1948 in Clarinda, Iowa, a daughter of William Thadeous and E. Gladys (Hageman) Hendren. On June 8, 1968, in Mexico, she married Donald Edwin Weaver who survives at the home. She was retired from working as a Registered Nurse for 28 years at Audrain Medical Center.

She was a graduate of Mexico High School and St. Luke s School of Nursing. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was actively involved in all the ministries there.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, William D. Weaver and friend Danielle, Macon, and John E. Weaver and wife Leigh, Columbia; two daughters, Melodie A. Eisenhofer and husband David, Mexico, and Merrie S. Gorsky and husband Bill, Fulton; one sister, Susan M. Woods and husband Larry, Mexico; and 5 grandchildren, Jennifer L., Debra E., and Daniel Eisenhofer, Shelby L. Weaver, and Edward S. Gorsky.

Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Wilma J. Hendren and Carol L. Willie, and a granddaughter, Elayna L. Gorsky.
