Jean Baysinger, 89, of Mexico, died at 6:12 a.m., Tuesday March 3, 2020, at The Neighborhoods in Columbia.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Jean was born July 23, 1930, in Mexico. She was the daughter of Jack and Maurine (Ely) Elliott.

She worked for National Refractories as purchasing manager for around 35 years until it closed. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, and   reading. She volunteered at AMC and at the Missouri Veterans Home.

She is survived by one sister, Karen Brooks and husband Donn, of Laddonia; and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jack Elliott.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Mexico Animal Shelter or to the charity of the donors choice.
