Jesse David Crouch, 80, of Red Oak, Texas, formally of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Pike officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Dave was born on May 7, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Jesse Kelton and Mary Evelyn (Keasler) Crouch. On December 22, 1975 in Dallas, Texas, he married Brenda Louise Watts, who preceded him in death on June 25, 2014.

Dave worked hard his whole life and was proud of the life he built. He served in the United States Navy, seeking and receiving emancipation at just 17 years old so he could enlist. He went on to serve 22 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, something that meant a great deal to him and his family. After retiring from the Navy, he built a career in real estate and shared that passion with his son, Jason, who followed in his footsteps. Later, Dave became a jeweler, which led to him owning a watch repair company. He was especially proud to be the only Swiss Army Knife watch repair account for the state of Texas. Later in life with retirement, Dave enjoyed the simple things. He spent his time watching Fox News, smoking his cigarettes, and loving his kids. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his stories, and the love he had for his family.

Survivors include two sons, Jason David Crouch and Jay Justin Johnston; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Olive and Jerri Deen Crouch; and sister-in-law, J'Teena (Tim) Logerman.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; and the love of his life, his wife Brenda Louise Crouch.
