Jesse Earl Delaney III was born on May 12, 1957 in KCMO to Jesse Earl Delaney Jr, and Cecilia Jo (Palmer) Delaney.
Funeral services were held in Kansas City on Saturday, Febuary 10, 2018. His final resting place will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico, Missouri. Local arrangements were handled by Pickering Funeral Home.
Jesse attended the Kansas City, Missouri, public schools. He had varies jobs throughout his adult life. Jesse accepted Christ at an early age at Progressive Baptist Church. Later in life, He became a member of Good Hope Baptist Church later in life.
He had a passion for nature, he loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family, playing cards, dominoes and much laughter. In his down time he relaxed and watched westerns.
Jesse was united in marriage to Joyce Ann (Clark) Delaney in October 1990 who also preceded him in death. Jesse was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many.
He departed this life on Monday, January 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Edward K. Fry, Jr, and Andre Delaney, one sister Deborah F. Williams and a nephew Thayer A. Delaney.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Donnie Sanders (KCMO), Jesse Delaney IIII (Liz) (KCMO), Shontay Murray (John)(Columbia, MO), Shadonna Shivers (Columbia, MO), Deshawn Smith (Columbia, MO), Kianna Benton, (KCMO), Andrea Johnson (Antonio) (Columbia, MO) his mother in law Betty Grant (Columbia, MO), a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.
