Jessie Hinten




Jessie Hinten, 97, of Mexico, died at 4:35 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at Audrain Medical Center.



Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014, at Pickering Funeral Home with Dan Sites officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Benton City Cemetery.



Jessie was born March 3, 1917, in Gordon, Kans., a daughter of William Lyman and Mable (Willhour) Tiffany.



In 1935, in Harrison, Ark., she married Espy G. Duvall. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2002. In 1951, in Mexico, she married Earl M. Hinten. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1992.



Jessie was a charter member of Love Street Christian Church and later she joined Kentucky Road Christian Church. She has been a resident at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks for about a year. She enjoyed her grand kids, crocheting and reading.



Survivors include one son, William Thomas Duvall and wife Barbara of Higbee; two step sons, Clifford Hinten and wife Vicki of Mexico, and Robert Hinten and wife Connie of Mexico, one daughter, Eva Mishler of Mexico, one step daughter, Jessie Exendine and husband Eugene of Mexico and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.



In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Espy Gene Duvall; one daughter Christine VanVactor; three brothers and three sisters.
