John Abbott

John Charles Abbott, 47, of Columbia, died at 11 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017, at his home in Columbia.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Mid-MO Evangelistic Center, 120 S. Washington, Mexico, MO.

John was born on Dec. 5, 1969, in Mexico, son of Charles and Lillian (Goff) Abbott. On June 2, 2005, in Fulton, he married Beverly Dawn Weeks.

John had worked mostly in food service at Gaspers, Denny's and Golden Corral.

He is survived by his wife Dawn; one daughter, Natasha Leanne Roberts, Mexico; one sister, Cindy Lou Meckley, Mexico; one grandson, Luther Scott Roberts; 4 step daughters, Stephanie Stevens, Valarie Miller, Erica Miller, and Rhonda Wilson; and 10 step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles.
