John Ramsey Stewart, III

John Ramsey Stewart, III, 55, of Mexico, died at 1:42 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at Audrain Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014, at Pickering Funeral Home with Dennis Steele Officiating.

John was born February 14, 1959, in El Paso, Texas, a son of John Ramsey Stewart, II and Joann Marie (Jennings) Sewart.

On August 27, 1997, in St. Louis, he married Linda Kellum who survives at the home. John was a Veteran and had served in the Army. He had been employed for 15 years at Mexico Plastics. He loved fishing and snagging.

In additions to his wife, survivors include two sons, D.J. Stewart of Seattle, Wash., and Curtis Stewart of Mexico; two daughters, Katrina Stewart and Mary-Rose Stewart both of Mexico; a step- brother, Scott Roeske of Dallas, Texas; a step-sister, Sarah Popelka of Dallas, Texas;and his beloved dog April, who was his constant companion.

In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by his step father Robert "Nick" Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jordan-Waters Heart Center. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
