J.T. Williams, 91, of St. Charles, Missouri formerly of Mexico, passed away at 11:29 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Pickering Funeral Home with Reverend Zane Whorton officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

J. T. was born October 6, 1932, in Mexico.  He is the son of James and Dolly (Jones) Williams. On June 14, 1952 he married the love of his life, Carolyn Pierceall who survives.

J.T. devoted 40 years of his career to A.P. Green Industries in Mexico as an accountant. In retirement, he worked part-time at Pickering Funeral Home and later moved to Sun City, Arizona, where he lived for about 20 years before returning to St. Charles, Missouri, to be closer to family.

A lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Mexico, J.T. was deeply involved in its leadership, holding roles such as Deacon, Elder, Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Congregation, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. His service continued in Sun City, where he served as Chairman of the Trustees and Deacon at the local church.

J.T.'s commitment extended to his community through his roles as a commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Board and the Tax Increment Financing Board. He was also an active member of the Mexico Golden K Kiwanis Club.

In addition to his wife Carolyn, survivors include two sons, James Williams (Juvann) of Seattle Washington, and Brent Williams of St. Charles; one daughter, Debra Karsten (Gary) of St. Charles; seven grandchildren, Kristopher Karsten (Julie), Kyle Karsten, Karin Karsten, James Williams, Eva Wood (Nick), James Wulf, and Ben Wulf (Marie); and three great grandchildren, Will Karsten, Drew Karsten, and Gwen Wulf.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Virginia Lotz, and Dorothy McGowan.
