Judy Biesemeyer, 77, of Mexico, passed away on Monday April 24, 2023, at son's home in Cisco, Texas.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday May 6, 2023, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Susan Presley officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday May 6, 2023, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Judy was born February 2, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the daughter of Wallace and Mavis Jane (Helvick) Burns. On September 5, 1970, in Jefferson City, she married Ron Biesemeyer who preceded her in death on April 12, 2013.
Judy was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend. She spent many days enjoying her two grandsons, Gus and Winston, in Texas and her grandson, Cole, in Mexico keeping up with his racing and other hobbies.
She worked alongside of her husband, Ron, for many years. They opened Precision Eyecare in 1978 and she retired in 2007. Between the two of them; they built a very successful eyeglass business in the Mexico community.
Judy loved to play Scrabble and she spent many hours enjoying and perfecting the game. She loved to travel with friends and made many wonderful memories going lots of fun places.
She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain her Bunco group with delicious Christmas dinner each year.
Judy will always be remembered as a dear family member and friend.
Survivors include one son, Chad Biesemeyer (Vanessa), of Cisco, TX; one daughter, Angie Campbell, of Mexico; one brother, Mike Burns (Carol), of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Cole Campbell, of Mexico, and Winston and Gus Biesemeyer, of Cisco, TX; and one brother-in-law, Rick Biesemeyer, of Mexico.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
The family suggests memorials be given to Angel Wings Clothing Closet. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
