Kay Rosenthal, 81, of Mexico, passed away on June 16, 2023, at her home in rural Mexico.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Kay was born June 10, 1942, in Mexico. She was the daughter of Robert and Mary (Freels) Cole. On July 14, 1961, in Mexico, she married George Thomas Rosenthal who preceded her in death on July 9, 2021.

Kay had worked as a floral designer and delivery at Wonneman's and Garden Gate Florists. She also worked for a while at Pilcher Jewelry.

She enjoyed Hot Air Ballooning, camping (especially in Colorado), cross stitch, sewing, gardening, yardwork. She helped the family raise pumpkins and she delivered them to area stores for years. She had also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

She is survived by two sons, Jeff Rosenthal, of Mexico, and Greg Rosenthal, of the state of Missouri; and one sister Debbie German, of Houston, Texas. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Hank.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jerry Rosenthal; one brother, Robert Alan Cole, and one sister; Joan Ball.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Central Missouri Honor Flight. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
