Les E. Beasley, 71, of Mexico, died unexpectedly Thursday March 28, 2019, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday April 2, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church in Mexico with Rev. Glenn Forman officiating. Visitation and family gathering will be Tuesday at Noon at Lockwood Park Baptist Church in Mexico. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Centralia Cemetery. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Les was born in Mexico on Nov. 23, 1947, the son of James and Georgia (Poole) Beasley. On Aug. 19, 1967, he married Sheri Yardley in Mexico. Sheri survives.

Les was a truck driver. He spent 14 years as a driver for Oliver until he began working for himself in 1985. He leased to Oliver NSL Inc., Heartland Express, and Cardinal Transport. He retired due to medical issues in 2001. He was a member and Deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in Mexico. He was also a member of OOIDA and Promise Keepers.

In addition to his wife Sheri, survivors include two sons, Don Beasley and wife Cyndi, of Smyrna, TN, and David Beasley and wife Jessie, of Columbia; five grandchildren, Matthew Beasley and wife Ashley, Amber Beasley, Calvin Beasley, Ivy Beasley, and Violet Beasley.; and three great grandchildren, Zain, Trinity, and Dixie Beasley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
