Linda Faye (Albus) Armstrong 72 of Mexico, MO, passed away Thursday August 15, 2024, unexpectedly at home.

A Celebration of Life is set for Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the Church of God Holiness, 1215 W. Boulevard Mexico, Missouri.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. There will be a meal following the service for invited guests and family members at the fellowship hall.

Linda was born on January 18, 1952 in Mexico, Missouri.  She was the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Crum) Albus. On February 14th, 1985, she married Robert " Bobby " Armstrong. She had also previously been married to Earl Wayne Fierge (1971-1978).

She had attended St. Brendan's School and graduated from Mexico High School 1970. Following her graduation, Linda pursued her passion for cosmetology, earning her license through the cosmetology program in Mexico Public School.

Linda worked at the Shoe Factory, in Cosmetology, and at Dog n Suds between the years 1971-1979. She was a familiar and friendly face at Wal-Mart, where she worked from 1979 to 2012.  During these years she worked in various departments as the Department Manager, and in different areas of the store through the years earning the respect and admiration of her colleague and customers alike.

Linda had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed a range of activities that brought her joy. She enjoyed bowling was on leagues & tournaments, the Moose Lodge and found pleasure in camping and boating, playing computer games, engaging in different card games, and being with her many friends. A cherished tradition for Linda was portraying Mrs. Claus handing out candy canes alongside he husband bringing holiday cheer to children & elderly. Linda will be remembered for her warmth kindness and deep commitment to her community and family also her little dog Billy Bob. She leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will be dearly missed.

Survivors include one daughter, Amy Husted (Scott) of Jefferson City, Missouri, and one step-daughter, Sandy Stone, of Shelbina, Missouri; one sister, Roberta " Bert " Fox (Eddie) of Mexico, Missouri; six grandchildren Nathaniel Jordan, Savannah Jordan, Brandon Husted, Breanna Germann, Tayla Steiner (Michael), and Jade Stone; three great-grandchildren Sawyer Germann, Hank Germann and Artem Steiner; two nieces Pamela McCown and Enrika Fox; one great-nephew Connor McCown; and one great-great-nephew Edward McCown.

In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents.
