Listen to Obituary

Linda E. Rose, 65, of Mexico, MO, formerly of Centralia, MO. Flew to heaven with wings made of gold and a gown of pearly white with her daughter by her side, listening to "Come As You Are", on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:30 p.m.  Her friends describe her, as the brightest star in the sky and her laughter rides the wind.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Stephanie Rose-Ingram (Richard) of Mexico, Mo. and 5 grandchildren: Timothy True (Karaca) of Mexico, MO; Jacob Whitehead of Columbia, MO; Stephanie (Nicole) Gillis of Kansas City, MO; Scott Ingram (Ashley) of Joplin, MO; Shelby (Keifer) Chase of Joplin, MO. and 7 great-grandchildren.  Sisters:  Doris Wood, of Centralia, MO; and Patty (Ron) Langdon of Edgar, WI and nephews Grant (Sabrina) Langdon; and Matthew (Christina) Langdon of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Wood of Centralia MO.; brother, Alvin Paul Wood, and 2 baby sisters.

Linda spent her life with a smile on her face, a mischievous sparkle in her eye, and contagious laughter that could bring brightness to a room.   She graduated from Centralia High School, Class of 1973.  She had many, many close friends of more than 55 plus years, who still get together and party like teenagers.  She adored these friends and loved them dearly.     She worked for Prenger's Supermarket, Harold's, and DC's all in Centralia, MO.  She retired from Wal-Mart as a Cashier.  She loved being around people and showing true kindness towards others and making someone else's day with a hug or a smile.  Her happiest and fondest memories were spent with her grandsons and great grandsons.   Her heart was full and complete when she heard their laughter and saw how much joy they brought to her daughter.
