Louise Padgett



Mary Louise Padgett, 83, of Mexico, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at 10:42 a.m., at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks.


Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Parsons Creek Cemetery with Connie Pickering officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pickering Funeral Home.


Mrs. Padgett was born on Dec. 13, 1926, in Wheeling, Mo., a daughter of Edward and Bessie (Moore) Gray. On Nov. 4, 1949, in Bentonville, Ark., she married Charles Chuck Padgett. He preceded her in death in 2000.


She had worked at Audrain Medical Center in admissions.Louise also was a member of the AMC Auxiliary, Friends of the Library, and the Mexico United Methodist Church, making many things for the Church Bazaar. She loved knitting and crocheting and was very interested in crafts.


Survivors include two sons, Charles E. Padgett and wife Vicki, Vandalia, and Jeffrey L. Padgett, Mexico; two daughters, Jacqueline Roberts and husband Larry, Independence, and Pamela Blankenship and husband Jerry, Avinger, Tex.; five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.


In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Gray, and one sister, Rosa Leona Keller.


Memorials may be made to the Mexico United Methodist Church or the AMC Auxiliary and sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
