Lucille Riney




Lucille May Riney, 99, of Mexico, passed away at King's Daughter's Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.



A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 14 at Pickering Funeral Home.



Lucille was born November 18, 1913, in St. James, Missouri, the daughter of the late Walter Pilger and the late Beulah (Murray) Pilger. On November 26, 1932, Lucille was united in marriage to Andrew Guy Riney, who preceded her in death on July 29, 1988.



She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Roger Guy Riney and wife Joyce, of Mexico; a daughter, Doris Riney Brown, of Florissant, MO; six grandchildren, Douglas Riney (Aracely) of Wellsburg, West Virginia, Steve Riney (Brandy) of Pratt, KS, Tim Riney (Kristina) of Las Vegas, NV, David Brown (Barbara) of Fenton, MO, Christopher Brown (Debbie) of Wildwood, MO, and Jennifer Brown Rosansky (Jeff) of Florissant, MO; eleven great grandchildren, Clayton Riney, Brandon and Caroline Riney, Kameron and Isabella Riney, Christina Brown, Courtney (David) Gunby, Jessica and Ryan Brown, Andrew and Taylor Rosansky. She had four great-great grandchildren.



In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers.



Lucille was a member of the First Christian Church in Mexico, and the Order of Eastern Star. She was active in League of Women Voters, a member of the Helping Hand Circle King's Daughters, and volunteered for many years at the Veteran's Home.



The family suggests memorials be given to the First Christian Church. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
