Margaret M. Jones

Margaret M. Jones, 78, of Auxvasse, died at 9:33 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010, at University Hospital in Columbia.

Memorial Services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Grand Prairie Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Taylor Officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Jones was born April 19, 1932, in Fulton, a daughter of Elias E. Franklin and Ada P. Patterson Franklin Turner. On April 27, 1950, in Fulton, she married James Leslie Jones. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on February 7, 2000.

She was a member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse.

Survivors include one son, James E. (Peggy) Jones, Auxvasse; two daughters, Deborah (Jody) Wilson, Mexico, and Melinda (Gregg) Huddleston, Washington; one sister, Peggy Franklin, Auxvasse; four grandchildren, Shane (Beth) Wilson, Keith (Tina) Parsons, Dustin (Caitlin) Huddleston, and Jacob Huddleston; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Kyle, Sierra, Scott, Desiree, and Alena.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Allen E. Franklin, and Donald D. Franklin.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or to the Audrain County Relay for Life (United Credit Union Team). They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
