Marion W. Allison

Marion W. Allison, 81, of Mexico, died at 7:32 a.m. Aug. 22, 2007, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Pickering Funeral Home with Minister David LeMonnier officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Allison was born on Jan. 17, 1926, in Middletown, a son of Earl and Lurena LeMasters Allison. On Dec. 17, 1947, in Mexico, he married Dorothy Lee Hildebrand, who died on Oct. 19, 2002. Mr. Allison worked at National Refractories, first in charge of mining and drilling and later as Timekeeper. He retired in the early 80s after 25 years of service. He also owned and operated Allison Mobile Homes.

Survivors include four sons, Jack Allison and wife Deborah, Mexico, Joe Allison and wife Anna, Mexico, Glenn Allison and partner Barbara, Paris, and David Wright, Chesapeake Bay, Va.; two daughters, Sherry Allison, Mexico, and Donna White and husband Jack, Moberly; one brother, Arthur Allison and wife Eleanor, Middletown; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, one son Robert, one grandson Brian Wright, and one brother Paul, preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor s choice.
