Mark Allen Brixey, 63 of Mexico, passed away at his home on Sunday February 13, 2022.

Memorial visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, at Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico.

Mr. Brixey was born in De Soto, Missouri, on March 20, 1958, the son of Carl Edward Brixey and Wanda L. (Malicoat) Brixey. On March 22, 1986, in Mexico he married Rita Francis.  Rita preceded him in death on September 26, 2014.

Mark worked at AP Green Brick Refractories, Teva, and Spartan, and most recently he worked at Perry Machine and Die. He was a member of the Mexico Moose Lodge, and he was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow.

Survivors include two sons Shane Brixey (Liz) of Mexico, and Jeremy Brixey (Whitney Jakubs) of Herculaneum, Mo.; two brothers Michael Brixey (Anita) of Urbana Mo., and James Brixey (Martha) of Mexico, ; one aunt, Delena Snider, of Springfield; and three grandchildren, Haydan, Hayliee and Alexzandra.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to the Moose Heart.  They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, Mo., 65265.
