Martha L. Sidney, 93, of Fulton, formerly of Mexico, died at 12:04 pm Sunday January, 3, 2016, at University Hospital in Columbia.

Services will be at 11 am Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Mayson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am until service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Martha was born November 17, 1922, in Mexico, a daughter of Albert and Martha Ann (Johnson) McDonald. On December 20, 1947, in Mexico, she married Jewell William Sidney who preceded her in death on July 22, 1988.

Martha worked for Weiss Dress Shop for numerous years until they closed. She loved music, especially Jazz and Blues.

Survivors include one sister, Hallye Vanes of Wellsville; 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Miller; her daughter Wanda Fisher; and five brothers, Robert, Ross, Kirtly, Albert, and Henry McDonald.
