Marylee Lue, 89, of Mexico, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 10:40 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m at Pickering Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Marylee was born in Williamsburg, Mo. on Jan. 24, 1927, the daughter of William E. and Anne (Nickens) Law. On Aug. 1, 1950, in Kansas City, Mo. she was married to Thomas Lue who survives.

She was a graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. She moved from Missouri to Indiana in 1950. Marylee was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in South Bend and she had served as an usher. She loved to bowl and participated in the "Rollets" Ladies League, and she was a member of the South Bend Chapter of the Drifters social club.

In addition to her husband Thomas of Mexico, she is survived by one daughter, Dori Vinson of Irving, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and seven sisters.

Memorials gifts may be given to St. Paul CME Church in Mexico. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
