Mildred Langenbach Miller

Mildred Langenbach Miller, 88, of Mexico, died at 3:45 p.m., on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Golden Living - Pin Oaks.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Kukuk officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mildred was born in Mexico on November 12, 1926, the daughter of Benjamin and Frances Louise (Adams) Langenbach. On November 22, 1952, in Hardy, AR, she married John C. Miller who survives.

She worked for 25 years in filing and as the switchboard operator at A.P. Green Refractories, and spent 10 years as bookkeeper at Garden Gate Florist.

Mildred was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 75 years. She was a very active member of the church where she was in the choir as well as serving as a Deacon and a circle member. She was a member of the Audrain County Genealogical Society and the Mexico Missouri Chapter of the DAR. She enjoyed gardening, painting, knitting, antiquing and genealogy.

In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Chris Miller and wife Vivian of Mexico; two daughters, Mimi Miller Evans of Blue Springs, MO and Sarah Lewis and husband Bill of Milan, MO; one sister, Miriam VandeSteeg of Willmar, MN; seven grandchildren, Lisa Wall and husband Scott, Angela Correll and husband Kevin of Lee's Summit, MO, Mark Miller, Brian Miller, Steven Miller and wife Abbie of Mexico and Marc Lewis and Matt Lewis of Columbia; 12 great-grandchildren, Grant Wall, Ryan Wall, Allison McDonough, Mariah Miller, Ben Miller, Harrison Miller, Cory Allen, Mya Miller, Daye Miller, Rylea Miller, Allysa Miller and Gavyn Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Ruth Colston and Lois Wilson and her granddaughter-in-law Jennifer Lewis.
