Nellie May Sally Ehrhardt, 85, of Mexico, died at 11:35 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center in Mexico.

Mrs. Ehrhardt was born on Aug. 11, 1920, in Parsons, Kansas, a daughter of Lloyd E. and Betty Florence Shoush Turner. She moved to Moberly as a child in 1923, and was a graduate of Renick High School in 1938. On July 3, 1939, in Moberly, she married Joe M. Ehrhardt, who survives at the home. They were married for 66 years. Together they ran Temple Stephens stores in Marshall and Columbia before moving to Mexico in 1941. She ran the store alone for 19 months while Mr. Ehrhardt served in the Army during World War II. Mrs. Ehrhardt was active in all her children s PTA organizations and worked at the Audrain Medical Center as a ward secretary from April 1973 until her retirement in January 1984. She was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church and active in the Senior Center as a volunteer. She was also a representative to the Silver Haired Legislature and a member of the Town & Country Homemakers Club from 1950 to the present.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Terry Joe Ehrhardt and wife Cathy, Harrisburg, Ill.; two daughters, Karen Galloway and husband Harry, Folsom, Calif., and Donna G. Baer and husband Ted, Randolph, Kans.; a sister, Clarabelle Fortier and husband Edward, Pierson, Mich.; a grandson, Aaron C. Baer and two great-grandchildren, Caleb Christopher Baer and Kaydra Donna Baer.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Stone officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Mexico Senior Center or to the Mexico United Methodist Church, and may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
