Nellie P. Turner, 92, of Fulton, died Sunday December 10, 2017, at Presbyterian Manor in Fulton.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017, at Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico with Rev. Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Central Christian Church Cemetery in Fulton.

Nellie was born on July 17, 1925, in Fulton, the daughter of Howard and Mary Emma (Pickering) Turner. She graduated with the Fulton High School class of 1944 and she obtained her AA from William Woods in 1946. She worked as an accountant for Fulton State Hospital for 32 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of Living Bread Family Church in Fulton. Nellie was a selfless, caring, fun loving person that enjoyed music, singing, and sharing her faith.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Robert Henry Douglass and wife Judy, Laguna Woods CA, Janice Toms and husband Lynn, Independence, MO, Teresa K. Douglass and husband Jim Peck, Columbia, MO, and Cheryl Lynn Douglass and partner Constance LaGue, Portland, OR. She is also survived by special friend, Lisa Hosenfelt, who Nellie loved dearly like a daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Louise Douglass.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Central Christian Church Cemetery in Fulton or Second Chance in Columbia, Missouri. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
