Neola Beasley, 77, of Mexico, formerly of the Shamrock and Bachelor areas, died on Nov. 21, 2005, at her home in Mexico. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. Brendan Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Beasley was born on April 16, 1928, in Boone, Iowa, a daughter of Harry Thomas and Violet Louise Evalyn (Seidell) Applebee. On Sept. 19, 1945, in Auxvasse, she married Robert N. Beasley, who survives at the home. For several years Mrs. Beasley enjoyed working with her husband at their service station, Bob's 66 Service north of Mexico. She liked to camp, work crossword puzzles, was an excellent cook and seamstress, had a great memory and never forgot birthdays. In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, Robert R. Beasley and wife Brenda, Mexico, Gary N. Beasley and wife Sherry L. McMillin, Austin, Texas, and Arnold W. Beasley and wife Sally, Thompson; one brother, Thomas Applebee and wife Hilda, Neosho; two grandchildren, Paul Beasley, Rush Hill, and Surena Forsee and husband Steve, Mexico; four great grandchildren; five step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren; and one nephew, H. Michael Morris and wife Sally, Mexico. Mike was like a son and lived with them during his high school years. Her parents, a brother, Robert C. Applebee, and a sister, Evalyn Peneston, preceded her in death. Memorials may be given to St. Brendan Catholic Church or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Gateway Chapter, in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265
