Nina Dillion

Nina Ruth Harrison Dillion, 80, went to her final resting place at 10:30 p.m., Monday January 9, 2012. She was at home with her family.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home.

Nina was born Nov. 22, 1931, near Mexico, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Ruth (Wilson) Harrison. On Aug. 4, 1956, she married F. William (Bud) Dillion who preceded her in death on April 30, 2011.

She formerly had worked at the shoe factory, Coke company and the housing authority. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, painting and making crafts, listening to bluegrass and country music, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Williams and her life partner Howard T. Dollens; one granddaughter, Shelly Chick and husband Eric; and one great-granddaughter Tiffany Kirchner.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
