Norma Ellis

Norma L. Ellis, 79, of Wellsville, formerly of Laddonia, died at 12:40 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Gamma Road Nursing Home where she had lived for several years.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Norma was born July 31, 1937, in Russell, Kansas. She was the daughter of Francis and Elsie (Dyche) Ellis.

She graduated from Community R-6 High School. She was a member of The Laddonia Baptist Church and the Laddonia Rebekah Lodge. Years ago she worked as a correspondent for the Mexico Ledger and Vandalia Leader.

Survivors include one brother Robert F. Ellis and wife Judy, Mexico; several nieces and nephews including Paula Hoer and husband Jonathan, Mexico, Peggy Belt and husband Shawn, Tebbits, Brent Ellis, Mexico, Sonya Trujillo, Colorado Springs, Co., and Karen Baker, Herman; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William O. Ellis; and two nieces, Janet Thomas and Marsha Carver.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
