Norma Willingham



Norma Willingham, 52, of Auxvasse, died at her home on August 17, 2006.


Ms. Willingham was born on Oct. 11, 1953, in Mexico, a daughter of Charles Curtis and Gloria Jean (Mahood) Sampson. She was a graduate of Mexico High School, and had been employed as a food service supervisor at the Fulton Dept. of Corrections. She had also worked at Bunge Foods in Mexico.


Survivors include her father, Curtis Sampson; two sons, Carl Willingham and wife Wendy, Columbia, and Jarod Willingham, Mexico; two daughters, Tina Maddox and husband Jerry, Auxvasse, and Casey Willingham, Mexico; two sisters, Karla Newbrough and husband Robert, Mexico and Becky Shah and husband Nick, Mexico; five grandchildren, Daniel and Tanner Womack, Gage and Sydney Willingham and Cody Maddox; and a very special friend, Nancy Wood, Auxvasse.


Her mother, Jean Sampson, preceded her in death.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pickering Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.


Memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Center in Columbia and may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
