Patsey was born on March 20, 1934 in Broadwater, Nebraska to William Edward Miller and Doris Lucille (Anderson) Miller. She grew up in both Berthoud and Grand Junction, Colorado. She met James William Douglas in Grand Junction Colorado while he was serving in the Air Force. They were married on April 10, 1954 in Grand Junction, Colorado. They had the opportunity to live in many different places over their 68 years of marriage including Savanah, Georgia, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Denver, Colorado but they finally settled in Martinsburg, Missouri and have lived there for the past 60 years

Patsey was well known for her eye for detail; for her wonderful baking, including cinnamon rolls, decorating wedding and birthday cakes; sewing; and hard work. She had her own "she-shack" in her garage before it was in style, where she spent many happy hours with her sewing machines and embroidery crafts. Patsey has four daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. After raising her family, she earned a certificate in Home Economics and Nutrition. Over the years Pat has worked as a meat department manager, bakery department manager, seamstress and head cook.

She is survived by her husband James Douglas of Martinsburg, MO; daughters Cherry Pasley (Bruce) of Laddonia, MO., Billie Ragain (Ron) of Trenton, Illinois, Connie Douglas of Williston, North Dakota and Patricia Wilson (Brent) of South Beloit, Illinois; siblings Ted Miller, John Miller, Doris (Miller) Madison, Richard Miller, Wayne Miller, and Tommy Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Edward and Doris Miller, her brothers Raymond Miller, Robert Miller, Charles Miller, Frank Miller, her sister Evelyn (Miller) Loose and son-in-law Bruce Pasley.
