Patsy Jean Swon, 90, of Mexico, died at 2:50 a.m., Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital-Audrain in Mexico.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 9, 2016, at Pickering Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Patsy was born in Vandalia, Mo. on Apr. 12, 1926, a daughter of Walter and Lorine (Akeridge) Schutte. She grew up in the Perry area. On July 12, 1947, in Hannibal, she married James "Jim" Swon. Mr. Swon preceded her in death on March 16, 2012.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Swon and wife Alma, Bruce Swon and wife Sharon, and Gayle Swon, all of Mexico; two sisters, Barbara Carol Campbell, Mountain Grove, Mo., and Bonita Fisher, Paris, Mo; 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elaine Keith; and one brother, Walter Neal Schutte.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial gift to the charity of the donors choice.
