Paul Dwayne Scott

Paul Dwayne Scott, 49, of Mexico , died at 3:12 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at University Hospital in Columbia.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday at Noon at Pickering Funeral Home with Kenneth Hoover officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service. There will be an Elks Lodge service at the beginning of the funeral service. Burial will be in Southfork Cemetery .

Mr. Scott was born May 24, 1961, in Mexico , the son of Paul Eugene and Ruth Lavaughn (Perrigo) Scott. He worked for over 31 years in environmental services at Audrain Medical Center . He had also worked part time at Wal-Mart. He was a member of Mexico Elks Lodge. His hobby was fishing and he also loved visiting Branson.

Survivors include his parents, Paul and Ruth , Mexico ; one son, Matthew Dwayne Scott, Columbia ; one sister-in-law, Sandie Scott , Mexico ; one niece, Brandi Meyer and husband Jesse , Mexico ; one nephew, Travis Scott, Mexico ; a very special great niece, Alyson Meyer , Mexico ; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents and one brother, Mark Scott.
