Randall W. Weber, 89, of Mexico, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his home in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Pickering Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Harvey officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Randall was born in Mexico on October 17, 1931, the son of Randall M. and Mabel (Mills) Weber. He married his High School sweet heart Doris Beatty on August 9,1953, in the First Christian Church in Mexico. They were married 67 years. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2021.

Randall graduated from Mexico High School in 1949, and from the University of Missouri in 1953 with a BS degree in Geology. During college he enrolled in the ROTC program, which led to his becoming a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He served 10 years in the service, from 1953 to 1963, as a flight instructor, and also captain and jet aircraft commander of a B-47 bomber for the Strategic Air Command. After serving in the Air Force he was employed by Investors Insurance and then joined A.P. Green Refractories in 1966, working there for 27 years in sales engineering and computer operations.  He also taught computer at the Vocational Technical School in Mexico, served on the Mexico Public School Board, and was president of the Kiwanis Club.

Randall enjoyed many interests and hobbies, including Big Band swing music, computers, photography, and early morning coffee with his friends.  He wrote a book, "Ten Years in Flight," about his experiences in the Air Force.

Randall's family and church were very important to him and a major part of his life.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mexico and served there as a Sunday School teacher and deacon.  His life was based on his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Randall had a sense of humor and was very kind.  People enjoyed his stories and enjoyed being around him.  He made people laugh.

Survivors include: two daughters, Terry J. Harvey (Bob), of Auburn, Alabama and Judy L. Haerer, of Mexico, and one son, Scott D. Weber, of Mexico. Also six grandchildren: Chris Harvey, of Charleston, South Carolina, Renee Winkler (Stuart), of Auburn, Alabama, Lisa Harvey, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Randy Haerer (Brandi), Rachel Karhoff (Richie), and Leah Haerer, all of Mexico, and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Doris, he was preceded in death by one son, Bradford M. Weber in 1961; one brother, Euen Mills Weber; and a son-in-law, Russ Haerer in 2018.
