Rebekah "Becky" Sue Maddox, 72, of Mexico, passed away at 11:34 p.m., Friday June 27, 2025, at her home.

A visitation will be held from 10 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025,at the Rush Hill Community Church in Rush Hill.

Becky was born on June 22, 1953, in Mexico. She was the daughter of Clinton and Florence (Carlson) Smith. On September 10, 1971, she married Michael Eugene Maddox, who survives.

Becky worked for many years as Postmaster at the Rush Hill Post Office. She had also previously worked with Parents as Teachers with Community R-6. She was a member of the Rush Hill Community Church.

Becky cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Her beloved cat "Boone" was always at her side. She also enjoyed taking many trips with her family.

In addition to her husband Mike, survivors include one son, Kelly Maddox (Stephanie), of Rush Hill; one daughter, Summer Zastrow (Steve), of Rush Hill; four grandchildren, Grace Maddox, of Overland Park, Kansas, Hayden Maddox, of Columbia, Clinton Zastrow, of Rush Hill, and Megan Zastrow, also of Rush Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one unborn child.
