Richard Eugene Stillson

Richard Eugene Stillson, 72, of Mexico, died at 7:20 p.m., on Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia.

Mr. Stillson was born on Sept. 3, 1939, in Glenview, Ill., the son of Otto and Helen (Wasser) Stillson. On Dec. 27, 1965, in North Brook, Ill., he married Joann V. Sampson, who survives him at the home. They were happily married for 45 years.

Richard loved his family and friends. He enjoyed playing bingo, working with wood and helping anyone with a need. He will sadly be missed by all.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Julia Stillson Denham and husband Wesley and Donna Stillson Bell both of Mexico, Formerly of Ill.; one sister Christina Brown of Illionois; four grandchildren, Robert A. Bell, Ill, Breanna Journigan Garnett and Husband Jason, Erin and Nikki Denham and his special needs little sweetheart, Leigha Marie Denham; One great-granddaughter, Julieona, all of Mexico; one special nephew, Jerry Sternburg, Mexico; and several other nieces and nephews.
