Robert M. Armstrong, a.k.a. "Bubba" or "Bobby", 76, of Mexico, passed away at 4:40 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

A celebration of his life service will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Moose Lodge in Mexico. Pickering Funeral Home handled his arrangements.

Robert was born September 24, 1947, in Monroe City, Missouri. He was the son of Murray and Flossie (Newbrough) Armstrong. On February 14, 1985, he married Linda Albus in Mexico. Linda survives at the home. He had also previously been married to Connie L. (Fox) Ingebritson who preceded him in death.

Robert worked most of his life in concrete and roofing construction. He was a member for 23 years of the Mexico Moose Lodge. He played "Santa" in the community for 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

In addition to his wife Linda, survivors include one daughter, Sandy Stone, of Shelbina, Missouri; one step-daughter, Amy Husted (Scott), of Jefferson City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Breanna Germann, of Carrollton, Missouri, Tayla Steiner (Michael), of Sherman, Illinois, and Jade Stone, of Kearney, Missouri; two step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Jordon, and Savannah Jordan, both of Jefferson City, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Hank Germann, and Artem Steiner; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his first wife Connie, he was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, William P. Armstrong.
