Robert M. Lamothe, 66, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia.

Services will be at a later date.

Robert was born on June 3, 1959 in Putnam, Connecticut, the son of Normand and June (Pickett) Lamothe.  On July 9, 1994 he married Darlene Stuart in Columbia, Missouri, who survives.

Robert served in the U.S. Army from November 1978 to February 1986. He was a member of the American Legion in Mexico, Missouri.

Robert spent much of his career as a professional truck driver, working with various trucking companies and traveling countless miles across the country. Outside of work, he had a deep love for sports—especially NASCAR, football, and baseball. He found great joy in watching games and sharing that passion with others. Another activity he enjoyed was spending time with his grandchildren playing video games. He cherished every moment and built lasting memories filled with fun and laughter.

Survivors include his wife Darlene; four sons, Robert Lamothe Jr. of Boise, Idaho, Matthew Brammer (Beverly) of Mexico, Missouri, Jeremy Parker of Mexico, Missouri, and Zachary Ryan Sam of Mexico, Missouri; three daughters, Stephanie Blake of Boonville, Missouri, Deborah Lorson (Jeramie) of Montgomery City, Missouri, and Amanda Parker of Mexico, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren, Karoline, River, and Patrick; three brothers, Norman Lamothe (Milly) of Kansas City, Missouri, Richard Lamothe (Leann) of Lisbon, Maine, and John Lamothe of Lewiston, Maine; one sister, Debra Bailey (Jason) of Bath, Maine.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Mark Lamothe; and one sister, Sharon Jellison.
