Roger W. Loncaric Jr., 52, of Mexico, Missouri, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday January 3, 2023, at his home in Mexico.

There will be a Life Celebration gathering from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday April 1, 2023, at Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico.

Roger was born July 8, 1970, in Coral Gables, Florida, the son of Roger and Andrea C. Loncaric.

Roger was the former Chef at The Oaks (Country Club) in Mexico. He had also previously operated his own restaurant in downtown Mexico named The Andrea C.

In addition to cooking, he enjoyed salt and fresh water fishing, was a huge Miami Dolphin Football fan, loved going to Disney and very much loved his pet cats, Mini, Dolly, and Cheesecake.

In addition to his wife Sara, survivors include his father, Roger Loncaric, of Goleta, California; his mother, Andrea C. Loncaric, of Miami, Florida; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and one Aunt, Elizabeth Chambers.

The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Audrain Veterinary Clinic for the Lynnie Lou's Cat Rescue Fund of Mexico. Make checks payable to Audrain Veterinary Clinic. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.

A Memorial Life Celebration is being planned for the spring and will be announced when planned. Until then be sure to raise a glass and have a toast to Roger!
