Rosalyn Jean Brookshier, 81 of Mexico, died Sunday August 27, 2017, at her home in Mexico.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017, at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico. There is no visitation. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Rosalyn was born in Iowa on July 11, 1936, the daughter of Ernest and Mabel Crabtree. On August 27, 1967, in Centralia, she married Irvin "Butch" Brookshier. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1989.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Brookshier, Auxvasse; three daughters, Karen L. Smith, Kirkland, Ind., Sheila Eversmeyer, Mexico, and Susan Martin (Steve), Benton City; she raised Keith Woods of Oklahoma and Amanda Gordaoff, of Illinois; also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Brookshier.
