Sharlene Smith Hagan, 65, originally from Crawfordville and now living in Florida, Missouri, passed away peacefully with her family on November 29, 2021, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held in Crawfordville, Florida. Local services will be a graveside service at 11 a.m., Saturday December 18, 2021, at St. Brendan Cemetery in Mexico with Father John Henderson officiating. Pickering Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Sharlene was born September 29, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to her parents Alsey & Mary Smith. She was raised in an Air Force military life until her father retired in 1974. Living in different parts of the United States due to military transfers, as well as, overseas, she lived most of her life in the Crawfordville/Tallahassee area which she called home. She is a 1974 graduate of Wakulla High School. She and her husband Dr. Warren Hagan, MD have been living in Florida, Missouri where they own and operated Florida Resort and Winery. One of Sharlene's favorite wines was called "Florida Girl" that represented a Florida Girl moving to Florida, Missouri! Warren recently retired as a plastic surgeon in Quincy, Illinois to spend their final days together at their serene gulf side residence on the Carrabelle River, in Carrabelle, Florida.

Survivors include her husband Warren E. Hagan, MD of Florida, Missouri, three children, Keith Posey (Kerri) of Crawfordville, Chad Posey (Erin) of Tampa, Haley Posey (Laura) of Crawfordville; four step-children, Jason Hagan (Erica) of Tampa, Ashley Binder (Lawrence) of Tallahassee, KC Hagan-Pink (Perry) of London, England, and John Hagan, IV of Washington DC; eight grandchildren, Devon & Cody Posey of Crawfordville, Connor, Camryn & Clare Posey of Tampa, Taylor, Madison & Payton Spell of Crawfordville; three step-grandchildren, Law & Sterling Binder of Tallahassee and Lane Pink of London, England; brother, Michael Smith of Crawfordville, two sisters Patti Davis of Crawfordville and Tina Langston (Daryl) of Sopchoppy. Sharlene leaves behind many nieces & nephews and a dear and loving friend, Debbie McKnight of Marianna, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alsey & Mary Smith and a brother James Smith.
She will be reunited with her beloved dog and faithful companion Tanner Eugene Hagan, while leaving her husband with the wild-child dog Rennie.
