Sharon Caples

Sharon Faye Caples, 65, of St. Joseph, formerly of Mexico, died at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, at her home in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Caples was born Nov. 18, 1945, in St. Joseph, adaughter of Robert and Mildred Gibson. On Sept. 24, 1965 in St. Joseph, she married Gary Dean Caples, Sr., who died on Aug. 31, 2009.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Caples Jr. and wife Dawn, Centralia, and Steven Caples, St. Joseph; two daughters, Lisa Perkins and husband Mark, Columbia, and Sherry Caples, St. Joseph; four grandchildren, Lucas Caples, Hayden Perkins, and Shyann and Sara Caples; two brothers, Bob Gibson, of Colorado, and Jay Gibson, St. Joseph; four sisters, Judy Hudson, of North Carolina, Cindy Hodge, Penny Barnett, and Karla Schaefer, all of St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Keys; and one brother, Gary Butch Gibson.
