Sherry Trabue-Pratt

Sherry Lorraine Trabue-Pratt, 55, of Mexico, died at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.

Sherry was born on May 15, 1952, in Bessemer, Alabama, a daughter of Estes Jones and Claudia Lorraine (Wheeler) Trabue.

She was raised in Shelbina and she raised her children there. She grew up attending the Shelbina Baptist Church. While raising her children she attended the First Assembly of God Church.

She was the manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Mexico for nine years; prior to that she was a homemaker.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Claudia Trabue, Shelbyville; five children, Sharon Leah Pratt-Taylor, Cairo, Lisa Jo Bowden and her significant other Brian Hill, Mexico, Joseph Kelly Pratt III, Shelbina, Timothy Wayne Pratt, Mexico, and Roy Mack Hunt, Paris; 16 grandchildren; her best friend of over 14 years and fiancée, Clarence Hyde, Eldon; step-children Jerry Hyde, Columbia, and Stacey Hyde, Holts Summit; and five step grandchildren; three brothers, William Eugene Trabue, Columbia, Arther Warren Trabue and Larry Estes Trabue, both of Auxvasse; and two sisters, Oleta Carol Lee, Lee s Summit, and Barbara Lynn Sevier, Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Pickering Funeral Home, with Pastor Adam Weber and Pastor Kevin Weber officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Farber Cemetery.
