Stephanie L. Wright

Stephanie Wright, 25, of Mexico, died at 9:08 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2008, at her home.

She is the daughter of Lena and Bob Cross of Mexico and Scott and Tammy Wright of Chesterfield. Step-parents are Bob and Venita Hampton of Auxvasse.

In addition to her parents and step-parents, she is survived by her loving daughter, Layla Marie Epperson, Mexico; grandparents Carolyn Thompson, Mexico, Charles Thompson and Shirley Browning, Mexico, and Mary Brummit, Clebourne, Texas; her sisters, Melissa Archer and husband Andrew, Amanda Brixey and Shane Brixey, and Bobbi Jo Cross, all of Mexico, and Christina and Robin Wright, Chesterfield; brother George Allen Jr. and wife April, Mexico; several aunts and uncles, cousins and six nieces and nephews.

Stephanie was born Jan. 11, 1983, raised in Mexico, and graduated from Mexico Senior High School. She worked at Soft Surroundings in Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Marie Wright, grandparents Rita and Marvin Hampton, two nieces Andralissa and Elizabeth Archer and nephew Lucas Archer, and cousins Donnie Ray Magruder and Laura Patton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, at 1 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to the Stephanie Wright Memorial Fund at Show Me Credit Union. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
