Suellen Edwards, 62, of Mexico, died Friday evening, September 8, 2017, at her home in Mexico.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home.
Suellen was born November 19, 1954, in Audrain County. She was the daughter of Walter D. Barnett and Ruth V. (Playter) Cooper. On February 23, 1980, in Mexico, she married Skip Edwards who survives.
She enjoyed doing genealogy, crocheting, quilting, growing plants and flowers, and traveling. She loved her family. Her four daughters were the center of her life. She gave her all. She also loved spending time with her grandkids and her "babies" (her pet dogs). She was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church in Mexico.
In addition to her husband Skip, survivors include three daughters, Jessica Johnson and husband Jason, Mexico, Ashley Edwards, Mexico, Nora Daughtery and husband Phillip, Hannibal; two brothers, Charles Barnett, Dallas, and Walter David Barnett, Fulton; one aunt, Nora Poage and Husband Robert, Mexico; and five grandchildren, Trenten and Easten Johnson, Johnathan Edwards, Keegan and Stella Biggers, and Aaron Daughtery.
Suellen was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Ayla Ruth Edwards, and two sisters, Anita Greening and Dyrinda Barnett.
