Sylvia Mansfield



Sylvia Jo Mansfield, 57, of Mexico, died Monday morning, May 3, 2010, at her home.


Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Brendan s Catholic Church with Fr. John Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home with a Rosary at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.


Mrs. Mansfield was born July 23, 1952, in Hannibal, a daughter of John and Dorothy Dottie (Schwartz) McLeod. She married David Mansfield who survives.


Sylvia was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church. She worked for Avenues in Hannibal, and for the past 11 yrs., taught at Missouri Military Academy.


She is survived by her husband, David of Cameron, Mo.; step father, Keith and mother, Dorothy Kellum, Cape Fair, Mo.; two sons, John Riney, Hannibal, and Cliff Fowler, Mexico; two brothers, Mike Kellum, and Lance Kellum, both of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Cherie Mcleod, San Diego, Calif., Kathy Neff and husband James, Benton, Ill., Lori Williams and husband Bruce, Jasper, Ind.; and one grandson, Evan Riney, Hannibal.


She was preceded in death by her father.


Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society - Audrain Relay for Life. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
