Thomas "Tom" Lue, 90, of Mexico, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 2:50 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Golden Living Center/Pin Oaks in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Monday August 1, 2016, at 11 a.m at Pickering Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Tom was born in Molino on Dec. 21, 1925, a son of Harve and Annie (Powell) Lue. On Aug. 1, 1950, in Kansas City, he married Marylee Law. Mrs. Lue preceded him in death on June 10, 2016.

Tom and Marylee spent many years in South Bend. He first moved there in 1947 after spending four years in the US Navy. He worked for Studebaker Auto and later for South Bend Community School District as a custodian.

He was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in South Bend and had served as a trustee. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Tom is survived by one daughter, Dori Vinson of Irving, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
